In a recent interview with Variety, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about his four-year hiatus from acting and the reception of his film Zero. Khan clarified that his break was not due to the film’s poor performance but rather a lack of motivation to act.
“The hiatus wasn’t about the films themselves,” Khan explained. “When I don’t feel like getting up for a shoot, I don’t want to work. Acting must remain organic for me.” He acknowledged that despite some films like Fan not performing well commercially, he still values them for their uniqueness and impact.
Currently, Khan is preparing for his upcoming role in Sujoy Ghosh’s King, where he will act alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan, marking their first on-screen collaboration.
