Shah Rukh Khan captivated the audience at the Locarno Film Festival on August 10, where he received the prestigious Pardo Alla Carriera Award. Reflecting on his three-decade-long career, Khan described stardom as “a T-shirt, not a tuxedo,” emphasizing his casual approach to fame. “Stardom is a byproduct of my work, not my ultimate goal,” he said.
Discussing his role in the 2016 film Fan, where he portrayed both a superstar and his obsessed fan, Khan shared the challenges of depicting the darker side of fame. He described the experience as “schizophrenic” and noted that the jaw prosthetic used in the film was initially intended for Brad Pitt.
Khan, who remains driven by his passion for cinema, expressed his desire to continue bringing joy to audiences and exploring diverse emotions through film.
