KPMG India has announced a strategic alliance with American cloud security firm Zscaler to deliver Zero Trust-aligned data security services in India. The partnership aims to provide comprehensive cloud-delivered protection for endpoints, workloads, identity, and data, simplifying and modernizing cloud security operations for Indian businesses.
The collaboration will integrate Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange™ platform—including Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), and Zscaler Data Protection—with KPMG’s advisory and digital trust services. This move is designed to advance security architectures from outdated legacy models to modern, cloud-centric approaches.
KPMG’s 2023 India CEO Outlook highlights the dual-edged nature of generative AI in cybersecurity, noting that 77% of Indian CEOs recognize its potential to both enhance security and introduce new vulnerabilities. In response, the KPMG-Zscaler alliance will focus on managing cyber threats, improving visibility, and ensuring compliance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
Atul Gupta from KPMG and Ananth Nag from Zscaler emphasized the importance of embedding cybersecurity in digital innovations and navigating the evolving threat landscape with customized solutions.
