Carlyle has announced the appointment of Anuj Poddar as Co-Head of Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS) for Asia, focusing on India and Southeast Asia. Based in Mumbai, Poddar will work alongside Janine Feng and Richard Elder to drive performance and transformation in Carlyle’s portfolio companies.
Poddar brings over 30 years of experience in corporate leadership and management consulting. He previously served as CEO of Bajaj Electricals, where he led a significant turnaround, and has held leadership roles at Viacom18 Media and consulting positions with KPMG and Arthur Andersen.
Carlyle highlighted Poddar’s role in enhancing portfolio value creation and increasing control buyout deals in Asia. The firm looks forward to leveraging his expertise to optimize performance in the region’s evolving business landscape.
