Adani Green Energy has announced key leadership changes set to take effect on October 1, 2024. Saurabh Shah, the company’s current Deputy Chief Financial Officer, will succeed Phuntsok Wangyal as Chief Financial Officer. Wangyal will step down from the role on September 30, 2024, marking the end of his tenure as CFO.
In a press release, Adani Green Energy confirmed that Wangyal’s departure is part of a planned transition. Shah, who brings over 22 years of experience in financial management, will take on the CFO role. His extensive background in financial accounting, reporting, planning, budgeting, and investor relations within the Adani portfolio positions him well for the new role.
Additionally, the company announced another leadership shift: Colonel Shaminder Singh Jamwal will become the Head of Security starting October 1, 2024. Colonel Satyajeet Ghoshal, the current Head of Security, will transition to a new role within the CEO’s office, focusing on business intelligence and technology transformation initiatives.
These changes reflect Adani Green Energy’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its leadership team and enhancing its operational capabilities.
