Mankind Pharma, the maker of the popular pregnancy test kit Prega News, is targeting growth in the women’s healthcare and fertility sectors. The company has acquired a 100% stake in Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited (BSV) for approximately ₹13,630 crores from Advent International. This move is set to bolster Mankind Pharma’s portfolio, which includes products like Unwanted-72, Nufol, and Dydroboon, with BSV’s range of women’s health and fertility solutions.

Rajeev Juneja, Vice-chairman and Managing Director of Mankind Pharma, highlighted that the acquisition aligns with the company’s expansion strategy, especially as the global women’s healthcare market is expected to grow significantly. The Indian market alone is projected to reach ₹31,000 crores by 2030, growing at an 11.5% CAGR.

Mankind Pharma’s product lineup also includes Dutan for menstrual disorders and Fertisure supplements for fertility. The company’s turnover has surged from ₹6,400 crores to ₹10,550 crores over the past five years, with a consistent double-digit growth rate. This acquisition is anticipated to enhance Mankind Pharma’s position in both the Indian and international markets.
