Google has launched a new artificial intelligence-powered chat assistant designed to help YouTube creators recover hacked accounts. Announced via a blog post, the tool will guide users through re-securing their login details and restoring their channels.
Currently in testing, the support assistant is available to a select group of creators and supports English only. To use the tool, creators should visit the YouTube Help webpage, log into their Google Account, and navigate to the “Recover a hacked YouTube channel” option under “Fix a problem” or “Manage your account and settings.” A chat window will open, allowing users to interact with the AI assistant.
Google advises checking for signs of account compromise, such as unauthorized changes to profile details or video uploads, before beginning the recovery process. Efforts are underway to expand the feature to all users in the near future.
