Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condemned the violence and targeted attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh amid recent unrest following Sheikh Hasina’s resignation. During a visit to Ayodhya, Adityanath emphasized the importance of unity in protecting Sanatan Dharma and remarked that the construction of the Ram temple represents a significant milestone, not the end goal.
Adityanath paid tribute to Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das, the first president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, on his 21st death anniversary, unveiling a statue in his honor. He stressed the need to address historical mistakes to secure a brighter future and called for collective action to safeguard Sanatan Dharma.
The chief minister also highlighted the Ram temple’s construction as a culmination of a 500-year wait and a pivotal moment for advancing the values of Sanatan Dharma. He advocated for a society free from casteism and discrimination, reflecting the principles upheld by Lord Shri Ram.
The tribute ceremony, held at Saryu Ghat/Ramkatha Park, was attended by several dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and Mahant Suresh Das. Adityanath also visited Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra chief Nritya Gopal Das Maharaj to inquire about his well-being.
