US rapper Travis Scott was arrested early Friday at the Georges V hotel in Paris following a physical altercation. According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, police detained Scott for allegedly attacking a security agent who was intervening in a dispute between the rapper and his bodyguard. The 33-year-old artist’s current detention status has not been confirmed.
Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was seen attending the Olympics men’s basketball semi-finals the previous evening. This incident comes after a similar arrest in Miami Beach in June, where he faced charges of trespassing and disorderly intoxication.
Scott’s recent album “Utopia” was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy Awards. In addition to his music career, Scott has notable partnerships with Nike, Epic Games, and McDonald’s. He also has two children with business mogul Kylie Jenner.
