In a severe accident at the Achutapuram Special Economic Zone in Andhra Pradesh, a reactor explosion at Escientia Company’s pharma plant has left more than 18 people injured. The explosion occurred during lunchtime, which helped avert a larger disaster.
The injured individuals have been transported to NTR Hospital for treatment. The incident has caused significant smoke to billow from the reactor, affecting surrounding villages.
Authorities, including the District Collector and the Superintendent of Police, are en route to the scene. Relief and rescue operations are currently underway as efforts continue to manage the aftermath of the explosion.
