Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta’s film Veer Zaara has entered the Rs 100 crore club worldwide after its re-release in theaters on September 13. Originally released in 2004, the romantic drama has maintained its popularity, earning over Rs 1.75 crore in its first week back on screen. With this re-release, the film’s total collection now stands at approximately ₹101.75 crores globally.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the milestone in an Instagram post, noting that Veer Zaara was shown in a limited number of cinemas—282 initially—and is now in 203 as it enters its second week. He anticipates increased foot traffic, particularly on National Cinema Day, with ticket prices at ₹99.
Adarsh shared weekly earnings, revealing a total of ₹1.57 crore during the first week, and provided a breakdown of the film’s financial journey since its original release. Alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, the film features notable actors like Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan. Directed by Yash Chopra, Veer Zaara tells the poignant love story of an Indian pilot and a Pakistani girl, separated by circumstances beyond their control.
