Brahmastra, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, marks its second anniversary today, reflecting on its success and industry impact. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film, which received acclaim from both fans and critics, faced a prolonged production period.
On this milestone, an old video has surfaced in which Mukerji revealed his desire to keep Bhatt and Kapoor’s pairing under wraps until the film’s release. In a 2021 event, he expressed concerns that public appearances by the couple would diminish the freshness of their on-screen chemistry, stating, “I didn’t want anybody to see them until my film had come out.”
Dharma Productions celebrated the film’s anniversary with a special post highlighting powerful scenes and a caption that read, “Love & light forever and more! Celebrating #2YearsOfBrahmastra!”
At the 70th National Film Awards, Brahmastra won several accolades, including Best Music Direction, Best Male Playback Singer, and Best Film in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) category. The film, praised for its visual effects and performances, remains a significant achievement for Indian cinema.
