Mahindra Group and Tel Aviv-based Sentrycs have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop advanced anti-drone solutions for India’s civilian and military sectors. The MoU focuses on technology transfer and the manufacturing of radio frequency-based counter-drone systems.
The new system, designed to detect, track, and identify drones, features an integrated command and control module that can autonomously neutralize threats by guiding hostile drones to land safely in predefined zones, thus minimizing collateral damage. It also includes capabilities to monitor drone flight paths, and identify specific models and unique serial numbers.
Vinod Sahay, President of Mahindra’s Aerospace and Defence Sector, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting it will pave the way for innovative anti-drone technologies in India. The MoU was signed by Jasbir Solanki of Mahindra and Yoav Zaltzman of Sentrycs.
Sentrycs, a leader in adaptive counter-drone solutions, brings expertise in passive detection and mitigation technologies tailored for diverse environments, including airports and critical infrastructure. The partnership aims to address the growing need for effective drone countermeasures in military and civilian applications.
