Mercedes-Benz has introduced its innovative electric concept car, the Project Maybach Virgil Abloh, at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center. This groundbreaking vehicle, a collaboration between the late designer Virgil Abloh and Mercedes-Benz’s Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener, is on display at the center until October 2024.
The Project Maybach features a striking sandy monotone exterior and a robust roll bar, blending luxury with adventure. Inside, the car’s modular cabin offers amenities like first-class flatbed seating, jacquard houndstooth-finish headrests that double as blankets, and versatile compartments with reading lights.
Measuring 6 meters in length, the concept car combines Grand Tourer proportions with off-road capabilities, thanks to rugged tyres. Its design includes futuristic headlights, protruding tail lights, and a reimagined Mercedes-Maybach grille behind a large glass panel.
Originally unveiled at Miami Art Week in December 2021, the Project Maybach is the fourth concept car Mercedes-Benz has showcased in India, following the Vision Maybach 6, the Concept EQG, and the Mercedes-AMG Vision Gran Turismo. The design has also inspired a limited-edition Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, further influencing the luxury automotive sector.
